Student Leadership Summit

15 Students from E-JUST accounting and finance majors accompanied by two faculty members and two teaching assistants attended the student Leadership Summit on February 17, 2024, organized by the Institute of Management Accountants (ima). It was a transformative experience for students to meet different employers and influencers in their field, the summit included different workshops and a job fair. Also, two fourth-grade students participated in a sketch as a small demo to guide the participants in the interview process.

Students are applying for the (IMA - CMA) scholarship

A filter for students of the Faculty of International Business at the Egyptian Japanese University, who are applying for the (IMA - CMA) scholarship, to choose the best elements, where students are tested on the equivalent of 50% of the scientific content of the first part, or the second part of the CMA certificate, within 90 minutes, which represents a mini-simulation of the official test. My sincere thanks and appreciation to my dear colleague Dr. Hossam Mubarak for his appreciated effort in supporting and developing students.


Our research team has achieved acceptance to publish a paper in the prestigious "European Journal of Business Science and Technology" (Q4)

We are thrilled to announce the recent accomplishment of two of our esteemed professors and a master degree student in the Faculty of International Business & Humanities at Egypt-Japan University of Science & Technology. This achievement highlights the importance of teamwork, especially in research, and reflects the meaning of a "win-win strategy" where researchers, institutions, and countries all benefit. Our research team has achieved acceptance to publish a paper in the prestigious "European Journal of Business Science and Technology" (Q4). This is a significant milestone for our faculty and university as a whole. What makes this accomplishment even more remarkable is that our master degree student, Amira Gamal, has succeeded in getting her paper accepted for publication in an international journal without even submitting her proposal yet. Furthermore, we would like to acknowledge the invaluable contribution of Dr. Mahmoud Fawzy, who has been an integral part of this research endeavor. His unwavering support and courtesy have been instrumental in the success of our research team. This accomplishment not only reflects the dedication and hard work of our professors and students but also underscores the collaborative spirit that exists within our faculty. Public Lecture Summary

Prof. Otake Toshitsugu, a professor of Finance at Asia-Pacific Ritsumeikan University (APU) in Japan, has delivered a public lecture about “Business applications by MATLAB” for FIBH students and staff members. The lecture covered the applications of the MATLAB that can be used in business and a demo explaining how to utilize the MATLAB tools in different business tracks.

Dr. Mohamed Ismail the associate professor at California State Polytechnic University will deliver courses for UG & PG Level for next semester fall 2023 in terms of reaching the knowledge and skills to FIBH students. The meeting was witnessed by distinguished professor, Prof. Ismail Gomaa, FIBH academic advisor and the former dean of faculty of commerce, Alexandria university.

First PhD. dissertation PhD defense March 19th, 2023 Thesis title "A Propsed Kaizen Evaluation System Using Balanced Scorecard and Fuzzy Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution (Fuzzy TOPSIS). It presents a new usage for Multiple criteria decisions making Techniques in Accounting. It presented a unique approach to kaizen measurement. Two research papers were accepted and published from the dissertation one of them tested the sustainability perspective of Balanced Scorecard.

Visit of a delegation from the Alexandria Economic Court

I was honored to receive a delegation from the Alexandria Economic Court, headed by His Excellency the Honorable Counselor Sadiq Abdel Salam, at the kind invitation of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Amr Adly, President of the University, and in the presence of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ismail Gomaa, Professor of Accounting, and former Dean of the Faculty of Commerce - Alexandria University, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Adel Rayan, Professor of Administration Business and former dean of the college, female colleagues and colleagues, members of the teaching staff and the college's supporting staff. The visit came as an exhibition to get acquainted with the university and its programmes. As well as to discuss ways of joint cooperation with the College of International Business and Humanities.


In cooperation with the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST)'s Sakura Science Exchange program, Dr. Sara Sabry and 10 researchers from FIBH were hosted by Nagoya University

In cooperation with the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST)'s Sakura Science Exchange program, Dr. Sara Sabry and 10 researchers from FIBH were hosted by Nagoya University (NUCB) for a weeklong course of lectures on " Data Science in the Business Field" from the 3rd of February to 15th of February, 2023. The training was fruitful and ended with FIBH students presenting their research ideas and proposals on various topics related to data science and business.


E-JUST has partnered with Credits Agricole Bank, to provide a training platform for students

Acknowledging the importance of professional training for undergraduate students, and realizing the importance of equipping our students with the necessary skills for the challenging and dynamic job market, E-JUST has partnered with Credits Agricole Bank, to provide a training platform for students of the Faculty of International Business and Humanities (FIBH).The training will be held for 2 months; July and August for 20 of FIBH students in different majors. Today, several personal interviews were held for many of the E-JUST students as the first phase of the training program.


On 21st May 2023, the Faculty of International Business and Humanities hosted Dr. Ramakanta Patra who delivered a public lecture about "Credit rating Agencies and Financial Crisis"

On 21st May 2023, the Faculty of International Business and Humanities hosted Dr. Ramakanta Patra who delivered a public lecture about "Credit rating Agencies and Financial Crisis". The lecture has discussed how credit rating practices of credit rating companies impacted the financial crisis, the basic strategies of credit rating industries, the moral hazard problem, and some implications in the financial world. Dr. Patra grew up in India and studied economics at Ravenshaw College. He subsequently obtained masters degrees in Applied Economics, Mathematics and Economics from Indiana University and Virginia Tech in the USA, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from University of London and has been working as a Senior Lecturer of Economics at Cardiff School of Management. Dr. Patra has been a Visiting Associate Professor of Economics at Kyoto Institute of Economic Research and a Member of the steering group of the Conference of Head of University Departments of Economics of the Royal Economic Society. Dr. Patra’s main area of research is Industrial Organisation and Game Theory with specific reference to Repeated Games and its applications to collusive conduct and credit games.


Mayar Ashraf Omar has successfully completed her Master’s degree

On 24th November 2022 Mayar Ashraf Omar has successfully completed her Master’s degree in Accounting and Information Systems under the supervision of Prof. Ismail Gomaa, Dr. Heba Badawy, and Dr. Hosam Moubarak in the presence of the examination committee, Prof. Ahmed Zamel and Prof. Magdy Abdel Kader. Thesis title is An Examination of the Factors Affecting the Adoption of Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems in Egyptian Companies. The objective of this study is to examine the factors that might affect the Cloud ERP systems’ adoption in Egyptian companies through the investigation of the innovation characteristics and the characteristics of the technological, organizational, and environmental contexts that affect the organization’s decision to adopt Cloud ERP systems or not. This study supports the country's endeavors and efforts in digital transformation and encourage the reliance on information technology and its use in various companies all over the whole country The findings of this research have several implications. It sheds the light on the key factors that might affect the adoption of Cloud ERP systems. Moreover, it assists organizations in reassessing and reviewing their organizational characteristics and competitive tactics and strategies according to its findings as it is necessary for businesses to embrace innovation, such as Cloud ERP, as a strategic tool for keeping competition in the market. Additionally, they can determine the factors that prevent them from the adoption of Cloud ERP by applying the DOI and TOE factors employed in this study. Furthermore, vendors may be able to attract more customers if they address such factors that have been identified as barriers to Cloud-based ERP adoption.
